Where does this beauty trend come from?

The Japanese made the buzz a few years ago by posting on social networks snails photos that were quietly walking on their faces. But they did not invent facials with snail slime!

For hundreds of years, Chilean women have been using the slime of Hélix Aspersa Müller, commonly known as "petit gris", for its regenerative properties. A Chilean doctor, son of a family of snail breeders destined for French tables, knew this practice and noticed that the workers on the family farm had extremely soft hands. He began research and broke through the mysteries of snail slime, which is now present in many cosmetic products.
